Whom we are looking for

  • Individuals, groups of individuals, or small agencies with an entrepreneurial spirit who provide high-quality, cost-effective digital design work.


What we'll expect from you

  • Demonstrable experience/portfolio of designs showcasing your skills in conceptualizing, translating an idea from text to visual, supporting a narrative through visuals, creating a digital experience through design. 
  • Ability to work with different cultural context in the design.
  • Commitment during the onboarding process, to understand our storytelling framework, technical requirements, production process, and best practices for client interactions.

  • Production process at the Standard of Awesome, which creates a pleasant experience for both the production team, as well as the client.

Production details

What does the process and your involvement look like?

  • Concept stage
    • Designer/design team reviews the brief, and clarifies remaining questions with production manager/client
    • Based on the brief and timelines, the first concept is developed. It usually includes:
      • Several different layout options
      • Color palette options
      • Imagery style
      • And argumentation for suggested treatments 


  • Design stage
    • Depending on the format (long or short), the design is usually done in stages or all at once (ebook would start with 3-5 pages designed, after approval, proceeding with the rest; a social teaser can be designed quickly). 
    • Review and approval rounds are coordinated by the production manager who shares rounds of aggregated comments back to the designer/design team to attend all at once. 
    • Once the final design is perfected, the work files, as well as ready-to-use format is shared by the designer/design team, closing the project.
